Trichoderma viride + Pseudomonas fluorescens + Bacillus spp.
Our flagship multi-strain bioagent blend, developed and produced at the Department of Plant Pathology, VNMKV Parbhani. One application supports root health, suppresses soil-borne disease and gives young plants a stronger start — tested across cotton, soybean, turmeric, pulses and cereals since 2010–11.
A single multi-strain application working on three fronts — disease suppression, root growth and soil biology.
Trichoderma viride colonises the root zone and competes out wilt- and rot-causing fungi before they establish.
Pseudomonas fluorescens produces growth-promoting compounds that encourage deeper, denser root systems.
Bacillus spp. help break down organic matter, building a more active, resilient soil biology over successive seasons.
Regular use lowers the need for repeated chemical fungicide sprays, cutting input costs across the season.
A biological formulation with no harmful chemical residue — safe for the applicator, the crop and the soil.
Healthier roots and lower disease pressure translate into steadier yields reported by farmers using Biomix.
Four simple steps, from mixing to application — suited for seed treatment, root dip or soil drenching.
Shake the bottle well. Mix the recommended dose into clean water in a plastic or non-metal container.
Use as a seed treatment, seedling root dip, or soil drench near the root zone, depending on the crop stage.
Apply early morning or late evening. Avoid peak afternoon heat, which can reduce microbial survival.
Follow up with a second soil application 20–25 days after the first for sustained protection through the season.
Tip: Never mix Biomix with chemical fungicides or bactericides in the same tank — this can kill the beneficial organisms. Leave a gap of at least 7–10 days between chemical and bioagent applications.
General guidance based on field trials at the unit. Always confirm with department staff for your specific soil and crop condition.
| Crop | Method | Dose | Timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cotton (कापूस) | Soil drench | 2 L / acre | At sowing + 25 DAS |
| Soybean (सोयाबीन) | Seed treatment | 10 ml / kg seed | Just before sowing |
| Turmeric (हळद) | Rhizome dip + drench | 2.5 L / acre | Pre-planting + 30 DAP |
| Pulses (कडधान्ये) | Seed treatment | 8–10 ml / kg seed | Just before sowing |
| Cereals (तृणधान्ये) | Seed treatment + drench | 10 ml/kg + 1.5 L/acre | Sowing + 20 DAS |
| Vegetables (भाजीपाला) | Nursery root dip | 1:20 dilution, 15 min | Before transplanting |
For soil drenching, mix 2 litres of Biomix in 200 litres of water for one acre, unless a crop-specific rate above says otherwise.
DAS = Days After Sowing. DAP = Days After Planting. These mark the recommended follow-up application window.
Bring your soil test and crop details to the unit counter — staff can tailor dosage to your field.
Biomix is a living biological product. A few simple precautions keep it effective and keep you safe.
Yes, Biomix can generally be used alongside standard fertilizer schedules. However, avoid tank-mixing it directly with chemical fungicides or bactericides, and keep a 7–10 day gap between chemical sprays and bioagent application for best results.
Most farmers report visibly healthier root growth and reduced wilt symptoms within 3–4 weeks of the first soil application, with fuller effects building up over the season as the microbial population establishes.
Biomix has a shelf life of approximately 6 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly — upright, tightly sealed, in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat.
Biomix has been field-tested across cotton, soybean, turmeric, pulses, cereals and a range of vegetable crops. The dosage table above lists method and rate for each.
Biomix is sold directly from the Production Centre at the Department of Plant Pathology, VNMKV Parbhani. While most farmers are from Marathwada, it is increasingly reaching farmers in Gujarat and Karnataka as well — contact the unit to check current availability for your location.
Feedback shared by farmers who have purchased and applied Biomix on their fields. (Representative reviews shared for illustration.)
"We used to lose a good part of our turmeric crop to wilt every year. Since we started applying Biomix, the difference in plant health has been noticeable, and the unit staff were patient with all our questions."
"I travel almost two hours to collect Biomix from the Parbhani unit because it's worth the trip. Prices are fair, and the quality of the culture has stayed consistent every season I've bought it."
"What I appreciate is that this comes from the university itself. When I have a problem in the field, I know I can ask the department's staff and get an answer grounded in actual research."
"Good results on my soybean plot, roots looked noticeably stronger by flowering stage. Would like to see a smaller trial pack for those testing it for the first time."
"Switched from a private brand to Biomix two seasons ago. It's cheaper, and because it's made locally I don't worry about it sitting in a warehouse for months before reaching me."
"We now recommend Biomix to other farmers in our village. Neighbours who tried it after seeing our cotton field have come back for a second bottle."
